Today we made 8 bars song based on chords that already on the board. We have to practice make songs using chords. I never use chords because I don't understand one because it's confusing. I guess I have to start learned chords to make my task easier.

Today we have to made 8 bars jingle. While we're making jingle, sir Herry gave us some other's finale draft as an inspiration. I think I'm going to make a trailer commercial jingle because no one in my class made trailer's jingle. Most of them made classical jingle that use violin instrument and flute. I have to install finale as soon as possible. So that I can start made the jingle.

We watched some jingle commercials and I made reflections in library because today was blog and video check day. After recess, we practiced our group performance. We have to practice harder because Friday around May there will be an assessment about this.

Today we have to make jingle. Based on the videos we have seen, we supposed to make it simple and catchy. We have to make the jingle with 4 kinds of instruments. If we haven't finished it, we could do it at home. It's today homework. After reccess, we have to perform This Love and I have to practice more.

Today, we watched some jingle commercial songs in one session before reccess for our inspiration to make jingle. After the reccess, we learned some music theory then we practiced our group performance. We're going to perform This Love. First, we decided who's the vocalist etc. but we changed the vocalist. I got the violin part and I have to learn the score because if I dont, my performance will ruin the song. I have to learn it and play it with the right rhythm.

Today we had music theory quiz. I had no preparation because I didn't bring my materials home and we don't get any emails from sir Herry because he thought it will be easy hence I didn't study for the test. I got many questions to answer from jazz genre. I didn't learn any jazz because I thought it wouldn't come out in the test. I have to learn jazz further. Maybe it will come in handy someday.

Today we have assessment. We are going to sing I Got Rhythm song. This assessment is different from the other singing assessment. We have to sing it alone rather than with partner. I have been really nervous before the assessment because my voice is not good enough, I can't sing high tone, and it sounds not full. In Indonesia you called it "cempreng". After the assessment, I feel satisfied about the score because I got 7 even though my voice is not good and often out of pitch. I have to get a singing lesson.

Today we chose some questions that we all have made from our genre. All the questions from the other class that also in that genre and our questions that we have chosen, will be asked for exercise before the test. We also sang I Got Rhythm. We will assess I Got Rhythm in April 13, 2010. My pitch still not high enough to sing I Got Rhythm. I have to learn to reach the high tone.

Today is the first session in term 4 after project week and holiday. We already begin the theory lesson with discussing the test based on our jazz genre. We made some questions from the essay we made then we repeated our lesson the dominanth seventh, minor seventh, major seventh. But we also learned something new, 9 and 11 chord. It's getting to confuse but I hope we can learn quickly because we are going to have a test about that.

Today I performed All of me because 2 people from each of the instruments have to perform it. Sir herry chose me and Hasan to represent the Violin. I haven't practiced for like weeks and got a little rusty. I got a little run pitch once. I have to fix it because it will ruin the whole performance.

Today we submitted our 12 bar blues. Finally I finished it on weekend and have sir Herry to check it on Monday. I got a quite big mistake there. I use 3/4 instead of 4/4 and some of my chords are wrong. I figured that it would be hard if I fix the notes, so I make a new one during the class and the reccess.

Today we checked our 12 bar blues and watched James Hadisurjo and Andrew Budiarta from guitar's team played All of me song. And also when sir Herry checked the 12 bar blues, he didn't mention my name. I thought I already submitted the 12 bar blues because my locker key was at home and i forgot to bring it. I guess I haven't finished it. I will come to school on Saturday to get my folder and finish the 12 bar blues with music booklet and submit it on Monday.

I was sick for 1 week. That will explain why my reflection is blank on those 3 days although I know I miss 2 assessments, I don't know which on what day. But I already make it up. I already submit my music booklet and have my singing assessment.

We learned about blues-chord and rehearse singing Sway and also planning about our group presentation in our swing jazz group. Our group will perform about all of me song but I never heard of it. I guess I have to research about all of me song and start practicing from now.

Today we got divided to six groups. I made into Swing group that contains of Kevin, James, and Tiffany. We also learned to sing Sway and learned how to make 12 bar blues. I don't know what is blues if you ask me. And because this term theme is jazz, I need to learn more about blues. I will need some information about it too.

Today is the first day of music class. Sir Herry will teach us for the whole semester replacing sir John. So, he explained about Assessment Criterion because there will be no term test for music class. Quite happy to hear that. He also taught us about our behavior. We should be on time, be attentive and pro active, be motivated and follow teacher's instructions. Since he mentioned it, I think our behavior is not enough and it should be improved. I will improve my behavior to be like what he told us.
