Today we learned about the taka-tiki systen again, plus kodaly sign and traditional instrument of our country, Anklung. It was fun playing the anklung instrument. Each of us get an anklung to hold, then our guide will tell us using the kodaly sign if it's your turn to play. We shake the anklung with right hand, and hold the anklung using left hand and that's how we play.

Today we learned to read the rhythm of the notes using taka-tiki system. I did well because I have learned it all about the rhythm since I learn to play piano and using taka-tiki system is a great way to learn the rhythm if I didn't understand how the notes rhythm works. I will learn the taka-tiki system for the upcoming quiz.

Today we had an exercise about the composers back then in Baroque era, Johannes Sebastian Bach. He wasn't famous when he lived. His masterpiece known after he died. We also learned the kodaly sign. I don't know what for is Kodaly sign. For deaf people maybe to play the instruments but we practiced it, though, just in case we need it. We also had practiced for the upcoming examination.

Today I sang Gundul-Gundul Paculcul, an Indonesian song. I wasn't able to memorize the whole lyrics so I just focused on the lyrics and I was so nervous. I don't think I got a good score for that one. Then I got quiz about the yesterday topic, dominanth and inversion scale and I think I might a good one on this because I know how they worked.

Today we learned how inversion and dominanth work. Dominanth works like this, take any scale. then we write the first, third, fifth, and seventh note. Then you lower the seventh note by half and you got the dominanth. The inversion works, well, by inverting the major 7th. At first, they're really hard to get but after a few times it just getting easier and easier. Now, I can applied it when I wrote song to give some variations.

I have assessment today. What I expected, I would as well as I practice. And luckily, It really went well. I relieved that I already assessment. Now, I can concentrate on my other assignment.

Last week we practiced in the instrument class. Today we practiced in front of the class with sir Herry and sir John accompany me. Usually, sir Sadrakh accompany me. But today they're accompany me. I don't know why fortunately sir Sadrakh already wrote the chords so they can accompany me well.

Today we practiced our song. It's already near the assessment day thus we practiced in our instrument class for the whole 2 sessions until lunch. Because next week we will have an assessment.

We assessed "What A Wonderful World" song. that's a famous song that sang by Neil Armstrong. Everybody knows his signature voice. We sang it finely of course because we all know the song. I just need to louder my voice.

We have a quiz about C, G, D, A major scale and C, G, D, A major scale 7th inversion. I can do the C, G, D, A major scale finely, no problem but i forgot how to make the 7th inversion. Thus I answer what I have in my mind.

We practiced "What a Wonderful World" song and learn how to make C, G, D, A major scale and C, G, D, A major 7th chord with the inversion. I get the whole thing but the inversion. It's hard to memorize how to make the inversion. I have to try and practice harder to make the inversion.

We have assessed La Bamba song. That went well because I have practiced much. I and Amanda sing together at the front. Before the assessment we have practiced together. And I don't have any problems with the song. It's pretty easy.

We practiced La Bamba song. I don't really get the melody. The lyric is weird and kind of hard to sing. But i can have more practices because La Bamba is our assessment song.

We've been give source to download midis. We have to transpose one midi to the finale file. And we have to write songs and we have to present it. I don't know how to use the Finale software. I have to start practice using the software.

Today sir Herry told us that there's a software to make a song called Finale and gave us some tips to make a pop song. and We have to download the software. That's the homework. I don't have any problems with writing a pop song. Then it should be easy to make. I just need some inspiration to make songs.

I learned about chord in genre Jazz and Pop in theory class. I never learned chord in Jazz and Pop or what so ever, so I still memorize it in my brain. Maybe it will be useful when i play Jazz and Pop music. I remembered I played once music pop and there are chord on the book. I was playing using piano just for fun and I will investigate and learn more about chord if I want to play it.

We're performed solo for the assessment. Amanda, Andrew, and Hasan already practice for their song and I was not. Even I haven't pick what song I want to play. When the instrument class begin, sir Sadrakh pick me a song. It's Salut d'Amor. The song was very good and I play it badly because I haven't prepared for the song. I have to practice harder next time if I want to have full mark.

Today we present what all we know about jazz. I was lack of confidence when I present my materials. I was look like a lost child in the big street. Well, I think I have to practice in front of the audience a lot.

Today Sir John absent, so Sir Herry and Miss Melvina substitute him. So today we're divided into groups like the genre of the music. I made it to the jazz group. We all got part. I made the presentation about history. We all working to find the best material for our presentation.
